What material are your signs made from?
The lettering and graphics on our signs are made from hard-wearing vinyl.
A special type of vinyl is used on clothing.
The rigid board of a sign can be made from various materials depending on the
application. Popular materials are sheet metal, sheet acrylic, expanded foam-board and glass.
How long will an exterior sign last?
Vinyl on exterior signs will typically last between 5-10 years depending on location.
It is possible to extend this life using a protection spray.
Can vinyl be removed from a sign or vehicle?
Various grades of vinyl are used depending on the application. Nearly all vinyl can be removed
using a removal agent but with varying degrees of difficulty. If the sign is temporary then it is
possible to use a short-life vinyl which is far easier to remove.
What surfaces can vinyl be applied to?
Vinyl has a self-adhesive backing that is very strong and can be applied to many
hard clean surfaces e.g sheet metal, sheet plastic, glass.
What colours are available?
Vinyl is available in a vast range of colours. Please see the colour chart for
an indication of what is available.
Can you supply vinyl cut graphics and lettering for me to apply myself?
Yes. We can supply all the signage you need along with instructions on how to apply.
How big can a sign be?
There is no limit to the maximum size of a sign. Larger signs are simply made-up of panels.
There are limits to the size of an individual graphic. These limits change depending on the application.
What is your refund policy?
All consumers (not businesses) ordering from 'Signs Of Life' are entitled to cancel their order with us within 7 days of
payment or within 7 days after you have recieved your goods and receive a full refund. Items ordered that are personalied and
or customised are exempt from this refund policy.
